UNIDO announces the Global Quality Forum 2026: Trust, Trade and Transformation Through Quality

Vienna, 11 August 2026 - The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is pleased to announce the Global Quality Forum 2026, taking place in Vienna from 4 to 6 November. The Forum will provide a platform for exploring how standards and quality infrastructure can help countries and businesses adapt to a rapidly changing trade environment. As sustainability requirements, digital compliance systems, supply chain disruptions and increasingly complex market rules reshape international trade, discussions will focus on strengthening competitiveness, supporting the green transition, building resilient value chains and fostering inclusive economic growth.

Under the theme "Trust, Trade and Transformation Through Quality" the event will bring together representatives from governments, intergovernmental and international organizations, quality infrastructure institutions, development partners, financial institutions, industry and academia to exchange experiences, share good practices and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Key topics to be explored during the Forum include:

  • Quality systems for market access, sustainable supply chains and MSME competitiveness
  • Sustainable and inclusive value chains
  • Digital quality systems and connected trade
  • Quality infrastructure for regional integration
  • Financing quality infrastructure and scaling impact
  • Data-driven decision-making through the QI4SD Index

The Forum will also showcase UNIDO programmes, practical tools and partnerships that support countries in strengthening their quality systems and enhancing participation in sustainable regional and global markets.

Stay tuned as registration will open soon.
